Exhibition opening ‘Nous les pacotilleuses / Pacotille Experts’ , an art project initiative, inspired by Édouard Glissant, Raphaël Confiant and Aline Pénitot, dedicated to exploring artistic practices that relate to comings and goings, multiple affiliations, stories of origins – imagined or adopted – mobilities, agency, fabrications, circulation of goods, debt, smuggling, artifacts, colonial history, waterways, plants, languages, Africa, the Caribbean, and the World.
The pacotilleuses (Pacotille experts) as a feminist figure of Relation, solidarity, rejection of assignments,
and critical perspective, aiming to approach an alternative history and geography of both commerce and economy.
At Réfectoire des nonnes, Ensba Lyon, 8 bis quai Saint-Vincent, Lyon (FR).
From October 17th (vernissage) through October 30th 2025,
Wednesday to Saturday, 2pm -> 6pm.
Free entrance.
With the five artists from the Post-Graduate Art 2024-25 Promotion: Younès Ben Slimane, Sabrina Da Silva Medeiros, Yana Dombrowsky-M’Baye, Naomi Lulendo and Ramaya Tegegne.
And Ensba Lyon Master students: Hana Bourahla, Vanessa Fanchonnette, Laetitita Isaac, Rosalie Leber Azencot, Maxime Naudet Anounou and Ines Tabbakh-Malleon.
